Social Media is a broad term that defines the various activities which integrate technology, social interaction, and the content (audio, visual, words, drawings, etc). Traditional media (print, broadcast, etc) provide platforms to deliver content, however social media provides platforms for content along with the ability of interaction and networking.

 

Some say that social media is simply “people having conversations online.” Social media is the “new” way to communicate. While the messages might be the same the methods have changed.
