How to Earn Money From Your Site With Google Adsense?

One of the best ways to monetize your site is by displaying targeted ads on your site’s pages and earn from the clicks and impressions. You are about to learn how to earn money from your site with Google Adsense.
To understand Google Adsense and how it works, you first must understand Google Adwords (Google Adwords Article) Google Adwords is a program where people bid on a per click basis to buy space on Google’s search engine and content systems. This includes the ads you see on the top and down the right column of results when you run a search on Google.
Google Adsense however, lets website owner display relevant Google ads on their site’s content pages and make money every time someone clicks on the ad(s). For example, let’s assume “Fuller Consulting Group” bids $2.00 for the keyword “marketing coach.” Through the Google Adsense software, Google displays the ad on a “marketing” related site such as www.billionairebythirty.com. When a visitor to www.billionairebythirty.com clicks on the “marketing coach” ad, Google charges “Fuller Consulting Group” $2.00 and splits the money with www.billionairebythirty.com. The exact amount of the split is not known, however some experts feel it is close to a 50/50 split. In this example the site owner would have earned $1.00.

The Google Adsense program is free and incredibly easy to use. You sign up with Google, then once approved you are able to select the format of ads you want to list on your sites pages. Google instantly generates a java script, which you copy and paste into the html of your pages. You cannot change the code, but you can select the location of the ad.
Once you have inserted the code you have successfully added a stream of revenue to your site. You have to earn $100.00 before Google will send you a check. Once you reach that amount, the following month they will send you a check.
When getting started with Google Adsense, keep in mind one of the biggest factors to consider is the location of the ads. Most people put the ads only on the right column or up at the top of the page. This approach can become ineffective because of a concept known as “ad blindness.” Ad blindness is when you see the same format of an ad, over and over again, and become blind to them. To overcome ad blindness, put the ads in unexpected locations. Try putting ads inside each post in different places.
If you are going to puts ads on your site, then really put ads on your site. Don’t hide one or two ads at the bottom of the page, put 1-3 ads in each post. Since visitors to your site are there for the content, putting ads in your posts is great for getting the most clicks because it’s in the natural flow of the text.
Making big money with Google Adsense is all about traffic, the more traffic you have, the more ads will be clicked, and the more income you will make. In 2008 it cost $100,000 per second or $2.6 million for a 30 second Super Bowl commercial. Do you know why Super Bowl commercials are so expensive? Because there’s a huge audience/traffic. In 2008, there were 98 million viewers watching the Super Bowl! The amount you make from Google Adsense will be directly proportional to your traffic/ audience. If you increase your traffic/ audience, you will increase your income. More visitors equal more clicks, which means more money for you.
